About Shupatto

Shupatto is a Japanese design brand known for its innovative, instantly foldable reusable bags with a signature one-pull folding mechanism. Unlike traditional foldable bags that require careful refolding, Shupatto bags fold in seconds with a simple pull from both ends, creating a neat, compact roll that fits easily into a handbag or pocket.

Available in multiple sizes, colours and textures—from compact bags for small purchases to large-capacity, and insulated versions suitable for grocery runs or weekend trips—Shupatto bags are crafted primarily from durable polyester and recycled fabric blends.
The pleated construction is key to the bag’s functionality, allowing it to expand generously when in use and contract instantly into a small shape. Reinforced stitching, carefully spaced pleats, and strong handles ensure reliable weight capacity while maintaining a soft, lightweight feel. The bags are washable, quick-drying, and designed to retain their elasticity and structure over time.

Whether used for grocery shopping, commuting, travel, gym, or as a sustainable alternative to plastic bags, Shupatto has eliminated the frustration commonly associated with reusable bags: awkward refolding, bulky storage, and loss of shape. By turning the closing process into a single satisfying motion—as the onomatopoeic Shupatto name suggests—a simple bag became a thoughtfully engineered everyday tool. The balance between beauty and practicality reflects a distinctly Japanese approach to design—refined, purposeful, and quietly innovative.

Misc Store supports
climate change solutions
& plants a tree for every order

Importing from countries as far as Japan & shipping worldwide has more of an impact than we would like.
That is why we plant a tree for every order + we plant an additional 2 trees each day.

Furthermore, we offset the individual carbon footprint of our staff, including travel per individual under 8,000 km by car or 2 short-haul return flights annually, by funding climate change solutions through Ecologi.

Investing in projects focused on carbon avoidance is not the same as simply buying carbon offset certificates, that is why we have chosen to work with Ecologi.
