Introducing… Loof x April and May: Working in harmony

Sometimes it’s hard to see a table. We look instead at what’s on top of it, what’s underneath it, or at the endless list of tasks to be done at it. Even as it (very graciously) holds our life together, the table itself vanishes. But that doesn’t mean that a table isn’t worthy of contemplation.

This year will see Oostzaan-based furniture-makers Loof launch their new Loof Working collection. To celebrate, they kindly loaned Miscellaneous one of their new Node 900 tables — an adaptation of their standard Node table, with thoughtful details (like a slightly larger size, revised work surface, and a hole for all your cables) to adapt it to your own work space.

To make the whole thing even cosier, Loof invited their long-time collaborators April and May to style the table in our shop space. April And May highlighted the warmth and texture of the Miscellaneous store, painting the walls in a radiant fawn and focusing on items with elegant textures — like our tactile Hasami porcelain, or the subtle sheen of our Traveler's Company brassware

We’ve called this collaboration Working in harmony. It’s not only our way of expressing the happiness you find when you work with others; it’s what we look for in a workspace, too. We had a chat with Jantine Vaartjes (April And May) and Nina Klijs (Loof). You can read all about it here.
