Ystudio Brassing - What is it?
Ystudio Brassing in its basis is the pen with a brass core, covered in black paint. Brassing pens show the process of developing patine in the reverse. Whereas with their classic pens, you develop patine, with Ystudio Brassing pens, with use you will reveal the brass pen underneath. The black paint will most likely start to fade at the edges of the hexagonal barrel. You can use it and see the natural reveal, or, you can use the sanding paper included. This process provides a unique experience to have a creative and original product that you have never had before.
Ystudio & the weight of words
Words can slip the tongue so easily, and at the same time, they can prove to be so difficult to say. In an off-site event in Taiwan, Ystudio invited their fanbase to write a letter. A letter to a loved-one of a bygone era. This intimate letter could be kept and never sent, the focus was about writing a personal letter you always wanted to write. In a private setting, behind a desk, teamed with some beautiful letter paper and a ystudio pen of their choice, participants were sometimes in tears, and it seemed all were impressed with the power of the words they just wrote. The powerful emotions it can elicit, the weight of their words.
