Kaweco & Misc-store Amsterdam

At Misc-store we have been very fond of the Classic Sport for a very long time. We loved the idea that it was made from bakelite back in the days, and adapted to plastic, aluminium for their AL series to the Brass Sport series. When we spotted the Kaweco Special Pen series, which pays hommage to this classic line with its octagonal barrel, we loved it so immediately. These writing tools, made of anodized aluminium, have a slender barrel, resulting in a more relaxed grip and a more contemporary look.

At misc-store we carry the Kaweco Special Range and the Kaweco Sketch Up 5.6 mm pencils.

About Kaweco

Kaweco is known for their quality pens, pencils and fountain pens. The company was founded in 1883 in a small shop near Heidelberg's University. Here they mainly sold their writing instruments to professors and students. With time, this small shop transformed into a production unit which later would be known under the brand name Kaweco. The leading products of those early days combined with vision and untiring efforts, love and passion for details and products, made them famous worldwide.

We're particularly fond of the Sport series and the other series that take their design cues from the Sport, like the Special series and the SketchUp.

Misc Store supports
climate change solutions &
plants a tree for every order

Importing from countries as far as Japan & shipping worldwide has more of an impact than we would like. That is why we plant a tree for every order + we plant an additional 2 trees each day.

Furthermore, we offset the individual carbon footprint of our staff, including travel per individual under 8,000 km by car or 2 short-haul return flights annually, by funding climate change solutions through Ecologi.
A selection of these climate projects are shown here.
