The Sailor Dipton Bottled Ink Creamy - Berry features richly pigmented ink with a creamy consistency that delivers bright, opaque lines that pop beautifully on both light and dark paper. It glides smoothly without smudging or feathering — perfect for calligraphy, writing or illustration. Shake well before every use to activate the pigment.

The origin of Sailor's Dipton inks comes from the combination of “dip” + “ton” — an onomatopoeia for the tapping sound made when pressing the nib against the edge of the bottle to drip off excess ink, bringing a playful nod to the craft.

At Misc Store we also carry the Dipton Bottled Ink Creamy in Mint and Lemon, as well as dip pens and fountain pens featuring stainless steel nibs, and luxurious 14K or 21K gold nibs. Browse our entire Sailor collection here.

Founded in 1911 in Hiroshima, Japan, Sailor has earned a distinguished reputation as a master of writing instruments — where craftsmanship, innovation and heritage merge into each pen.

From its early days producing gold nibs for fountain pens, Sailor quickly became a pioneer: the first Japanese company to engineer and produce plastic-injected fountain pens, ink cartridges and a broad spectrum of writing styles and nib types.
Whether it’s a timeless fountain pen with a 21 kt gold nib, a ballpoint with precision engineering, or one of their limited-edition lacquered masterpieces — each piece represents the brand’s commitment to excellence, subtlety and the joy of putting pen to paper. With Sailor, you’re not just writing — you are celebrating a century of Japanese innovation, heritage and elegance in every stroke.
