The pen uses a special ceramic ball that provides an effortlessly smooth writing experience and flawless ink flow with every stroke. Additionally, it features a non-dry mechanism, preventing the nib from drying out, even if you forget to put the cap back on. Its sleek and minimalist aluminium design ensures a comfortable grip, while the durable construction guarantees long-lasting performance. Its 0.5mm nib is made of extremely hardened clay whose finest bumps ensure particularly good absorption of the water-soluble, light ink. One OHTO C-305 Ceramic Roller Refill with black ink is included with the pen.

OHTO's history of innovation dates back to 1929. That is when the company was established in Tokyo and began to manufacture high quality dyes and ink. In 1949 they manufactured the world's first pencil-shaped ballpoint pen with a chrome ball. This pen was also the first MADE IN JAPAN ballpoint pen.
We can also thank them for other present-day standards like the Roller Pen, which they invented to bring the experience of writing with a ballpoint pen closer to a fountain pen. Wait, there's more! They also invented ceramic balls in pens and were the first to add rubber grips in pens.
