About Midori Celebrates Ojisan's 30th Birthday

Midori Celebrates Ojisan's 30th Birthday

If you don't already know him: meet Ojisan, the beloved mascot of Midori.

With his quirky expressions and simple charm, Ojisan has been a source of joy for stationery lovers around the world and even has his own webpage where you can download themed content. Since he was first introduced in 1994, Ojisan brings a heartwarming presence to Midori's stationery line, and this year they're celebrating his 30th birthday!

In honor of Ojisan's 30th anniversary, Midori celebrates his enduring appeal and timeless spirit with a limited edition line-up of stamps, notebooks, pens and accessories featuring fun illustrations of Ojisan and his two canine friends. Here at Misc Store Amsterdam we couldn’t be more excited to join the festivities and will carry the entire collection – the only shop in Europe to do so.

Did you know Ojisan means 'uncle' in Japanese?
Join us in commemorating three decades of fun, creativity, and delightful storytelling with our favourite uncle, a true icon in the world of stationery.

Nice to see you here,
but we'd love to meet
in person too

Misc Store supports
climate change solutions
& plants a tree for every order

Importing from countries as far as Japan & shipping worldwide has more of an impact than we would like.
That is why we plant a tree for every order + we plant an additional 2 trees each day.

Furthermore, we offset the individual carbon footprint of our staff, including travel per individual under 8,000 km by car or 2 short-haul return flights annually, by funding climate change solutions through Ecologi.

Investing in projects focused on carbon avoidance is not the same as simply buying carbon offset certificates, that is why we have chosen to work with Ecologi.
