In Drawing A Tree, Bruno Munari teaches adults and children alike how to draw a tree. Through his illuminating, gentle genius, the book offers basic instructions and plenty of stimuli, suggestions, and illustrative pictures. This book is part of the Workshop series that describes different methods of learning, from educational activities to poetic play.

When drawing a tree, always remember that every branch is more slender than the one that came before. Also note, that the trunk splits into two branches, then those branches split in two, then those in two, and so on, and so on, until you have a full tree, be it straight, squiggly, curved up, curved down, or bent sideways by the wind.

"Now that you know how to draw a tree, as I think you do, there's no need to slavishly follow what I've shown you. Once you know the rule, you can draw the tree of your choice, completely different from the ones you've seen in this book. You can draw them with a pencil, a pen, a felt-tip market a paintbrush, crayons, chalk, a piece of brick, charcoal, your fingers. powders, chocolate, a shaving brush or a broom. You can make them out of paper, stiff card, corrugated board, packing paper, wire mesh, plastic, non-plastic, papier-mâché, wire, brass, aluminium, string, spaghetti, cloth, whatever you want. And then, above all, teach others how to do it". — Bruno Munari

Corraini Edizioni x Misc Store Amsterdam

Corraini Edizioni's work is made out of curiosity and discovery, used to levity and fun. An unpredictable and uninterrupted process that, in their case, has lasted for over 40 years — 40 years of encounters, bandying between art and books, in search of new languages, contaminations, free experimentation.

Created next to an already established art gallery, Corraini Edizioni's publishing work ranges between design, art and illustration, often blurring the boundaries between the different disciplines. Naturally, given the association with Munari, particular attention is given to artists’ books for children.

Following EU regulations, from July 1st 2021 online shops must charge customers the VAT % from their home country.
