About Misc Distribution

Misc Distribution is a European distributor of Japanese and international stationery and lifestyle brands. We work with independent retailers and selected key accounts across Europe, and we represent premium brands with strong design values and loyal communities.

Our work combines brand building, wholesale service, and operational excellence: product selection and import, pricing, retailer support, quarterly supplier reviews, and participation in major tradeshows (Germany and France).

Sales Support

Location: Amsterdam

The job (in one sentence)

Youre the friendly, reliable first point of contact for our wholesale retailersand the person who makes sure quotes, orders and follow-ups dont get stuck.

Youre the link between our retailers, the sales team and the warehousemaking sure orders and requests run smoothly end-to-end.

This is primarily an inside sales/service role; proactive follow-up is part of the job, but not the main focus.

What you'll do

Customer service & order support (core)

  1. Handle daily inbound retailer communication (email-first)
  2. Answer routine questions (product info, availability, order status, delivery questions) using templates and our internal tools
  3. Prepare quotes and process purchase orders accurately
  4. Help manage exceptions (backorders, partial shipments, delivery updates) and keep customers in the loop
  5. Keep track of open items and close loops (nothing disappears)
  6. Escalate complaints or sensitive cases to the Sales Lead using clear escalation rules

Proactive commercial follow-up (secondary)

  1. Follow up on outstanding quotes and open opportunities
  2. Help reactivate dormant accounts with simple outreach and structured follow-up
  3. Suggest simple upsell/cross-sell options based on availability and assortment guidelines

Admin & coordination

  1. Keep customer data tidy (contacts, VAT, addresses)
  2. Support simple reporting (top customers, order frequency, backorders list)
  3. Help with new customer onboarding admin (account setup, first order checklist)
  4. Coordinate with warehouse on shipping questions, claims, and delivery issues
  5. Share recurring customer feedback so we can improve service and operations

What success looks like

  • Retailers get a reply or clear next step within 1 business day
  • Quotes and orders are processed with high accuracy
  • Open loops are tracked and followed up proactively
  • Proactive follow-up is consistent (quotes and dormant accounts dont get forgotten)
  • Customer data stays clean and usable

You're probably a good fit if you

  • Have 1-3+ years in customer support, sales support, inside sales, or wholesale admin
  • Write clearly and professionally in English (Dutch is a plus)
  • Like structure, checklists, and getting things properly done
  • Are service-minded, but not afraid to follow up commercially
  • Stay calm when priorities shift
  • Have an affinity with stationery/design/lifestyle products (nice bonus)

Nice to have

  • Experience with wholesale/distribution, order processing, or ERP systems
  • Comfortable with basic Excel/Sheets

Senior B2B Sales Lead (Wholesale  Key Account Growth + Tradeshow Lead)

Location: Amsterdam

The job (in one sentence)

Youre the person who helps our best retailers grow with usand who takes the commercial lead for our tradeshows in Germany and France (together with the Founder).

Focus (2026)

  • Germany + France (primary, aligned with tradeshows)

What youll do

Key account growth (first priority)

  1. Take ownership of key accounts and build simple, practical growth plans per account (assortment, reorder cadence, seasonal moments)
  2. Get to know our existing retailer portfolio firstthen scale new business
  3. Run selected quarterly business reviews with key accounts (where useful)

Territory growth & new accounts

  1. Build and execute a prospecting plan for Germany and France (target list, outreach cadence, visits)
  2. Open new wholesale accounts that fit our positioning
  3. Keep a healthy pipeline with clear stages, next steps, and targets

Tradeshow commercial lead (Founder involved)

  1. Own the commercial prep: target meetings list, outreach, appointment setting, pre-show focus
  2. Lead sales execution during the show (meetings, follow-ups, prioritisation)
  3. Drive post-show follow-up: convert leads into accounts/orders, track outcomes, and improve the plan for the next show

Team leadership & internal alignment

  1. Manage and coach Sales Support (priorities, templates, escalation rules, quality standards)
  2. Align internally so launches, availability, and communication match the sales plan
  3. Bring market insights back to the team (competitors, pricing expectations, product feedback)

Reporting

  1. Own sales targets and a simple monthly reporting cadence
  2. Flag risks/opportunities early (stockouts, backorders, underperforming ranges)

What success looks like

  • A clear 90-day plan (key accounts + DE/FR pipeline) within the first month
  • Better reorder frequency and revenue in key accounts
  • A healthy DE/FR pipeline + new accounts opened that match our positioning
  • Tradeshows run with a clear commercial plan and measurable follow-up conversion

Youre probably a good fit if you

  • Have 510+ years in B2B wholesale sales (lifestyle/design/home, stationery, gifts, fashion accessories)
  • Have a track record in growing key accounts and opening new accounts
  • Are confident in commercial conversations and negotiation
  • Like working in a small team where you create structure (not wait for it)
  • Speak fluent English; German and/or French is a strong plus

Nice to have

  • Existing retailer network in Germany and/or France
  • Tradeshow selling experience (Ambiente, Maison&Objet, etc.)
  • Experience with premium/niche brands and brand positioning
