Founded in 2006, the Mizushima brand was named after polka dots (mizutama) and stripes (shima-shima) – patterns that are simple, widely loved and never out of date. Their products incorporate handwork and  materials that are simple, rustic and timeless.

An essential part of Mizushima’s creations is freedom of expression and creativity, inspiring people to look closely and discover all the little, interesting sparks that life has to offer, and to then use our own imagination to turn those discoveries into tangible things. Through their products, Mizushima aims to share the joy of discovery, while also encouraging people to make something with their own hands.
