The Postalco Card Holder Mint Green isn’t just a way to carry your cards — it’s a design that asks you to think differently about the things you keep. In a world of disposable wallets and fast fashion, this piece is made to stay with you for years, even decades. The more you use it, the more personal it becomes.
First introduced in 2003, it remains one of Postalco’s most beloved designs. Two facing pockets, wrapped in a single piece of leather, form a slim, practical shape that slips easily into your pocket. It can hold commuter passes, bills, or 15–20 business cards. A clever stitch detail means the pockets open wide with just a pinch, making it easy to get cards in and out. Smooth on the outside — no snaps or zippers — it won’t scratch your bag or snag your clothes.
What sets this apart from any other card holder is the combination of sophisticated design and exceptional materials. Postalco’s pressed cotton is made on old machines originally used for tent fabric. Like a pair of jeans, it softens with age and reveals new shades over time. Knots, wrinkles, and irregular threads are part of its natural beauty. The leather is plant-tanned and dye-dyed, letting its true character show — developing depth and richness the longer you carry it. No two card holders are ever the same.

Postalco products are often materially dependant, reflecting a precise history of the leather, brass, cotton and fabric with which they were made. We were drawn to these objects from the moment we saw them. From the moment we began stocking Postalco in 2010, we found their work special — touching in its desire for longevity and engaging in its aesthetic sensibility.
We’re a proud stockist of Postalco, and we have been carrying their products since we first opened Misc Store in Amsterdam. If you’re in the Netherlands, come and visit our store in to get a feel for these supremely tactile objects.

Postalco’s very first project began in just such an inquisitive way. Bag designer Mike Abelson found the bag of his partner, graphic designer Yuri Abelson, stuffed with awkwardly bent papers from her work. He set about making a better carry case for her papers, which resulted in the Postalco legal envelope. Soon enough, they packed their bags and swapped New York for Tokyo, in order to be closer to the artisans responsible for crafting their distinctive products.
