The brass casting of the paper weight will oxidize with usage, creating a patina that makes every piece unique. One may choose to keep it that way and cherish the user’s tracks as a sign of its intensive usage, or re-polish it with copper oil until it regains its original shine.

A letter to a loved-one of a bygone era. This intimate letter could be kept and never sent, the focus was about writing a personal letter you always wanted to write. In a private setting, behind a desk, teamed with some beautiful letter paper and a YSTUDIO pen of their choice, participants were sometimes in tears, and it seemed all were impressed with the power of the words they just wrote. The powerful emotions it can elicit — the weight of their words.
