The Ystudio Ballpoint Pen is the slimmest and shortest in the Ystudio range. It is made of the brand's signature brass/bronze material and has a hexagonal shape. At about two-thirds of the barrel you can twist the pen, and hence the tip of the ballpoint pen comes out. A very elegant and stylish pen, with an understated tone.

As with all Ystudio pens, in a tribute to their Weight Of Words slogan, the ballpoint pen has a nice balanced weight, which makes it a pleasure to twist the pen, and to write with it.

The brass casting of this pen will oxidize with usage. One may choose to keep it that way and cherish the user’s tracks as a sign of its intensive usage or re-polish the pen with bronze oil until it regains its original shine.

Words can slip the tongue so easily, and at the same time, they can prove to be so difficult to say. In an off-site event in Taiwan, Ystudio invited their fanbase to write a letter. A letter to a loved-one of a bygone era. This intimate letter could be kept and never sent, the focus was about writing a personal letter you always wanted to write. In a private setting, behind a desk, teamed with some beautiful letter paper and a ystudio pen of their choice, participants were sometimes in tears, and it seemed all were impressed with the power of the words they just wrote. The powerful emotions it can elicit, the weight of their words. 

What we love about ystudio is that they have perfectly balanced the (literal) weight of their writing tools. The minute we picked up a pen and gave it a try, it clicked.
