The Midori Kami Series Goldfish Message Envelopes are the perfect companion to the Kami Series Goldfish Letter Pad and Message Letter Pad. Printed on subtly textured Iyo washi paper, the envelopes  feature goldfish designs detailed with pearl silk printing to highlight their scales and fins.

The goldfish serves as a symbol of wealth, fortune and good luck. In 1502, Chinese traders first brought goldfish into Japan, and sold them to samurai and nobility as highly prized pets. Several ancient stories and fairy tales tell stories of goldfish granting wishes, or making dreams come true.

The Midori 'Kami Paper Series' celebrates these traditions with limited edition designs for each season. Each collection is inspired by nature, depicting symbolic highlights for each season; cherry blossoms for spring, wisteria for summer, maple leaves in autumn and Camelias in winter. Everything has its time, even the stationery you use.
