For The Imagination Issue we asked our community to send us descriptions of their children's imaginary friends, which artist Linn Henrichson has brought to life through illustration. Children's imaginary play can appear timeless. Cardboard boxes become racing cars; shampoo transforms into magic potions; kitchen brooms start to levitate.
In perhaps our most ambitious - and silliest - feature yet, we're also interviewing Nadine Burke Harris, about long-term effects of childhood stress and trauma, and Christine Sun Kim talks about raising a hearing daughter as a deaf woman.
