The 366 Calendar 2024 by Five Metal Shop lets you tear off a page each day, making every single day count. Each month features two unique Pantone colour combinations, while more than 80 illustrations highlight special days throughout the year. Some of them are reminders of seasonal changes such as as mid-summer’s day, harvest or plowing days, while others celebrate Lunar New Year, Christmas, Easter and other special holidays.
The 366 Calendar serves as more than a time reminder. It becomes a new page after each day passes; use torn off pages for sketching, writing a note or a letter, or save it to keep that special day in your memories.
Year of the Dragon
Twelve different patterns mark the beginning of each month, featuring two uniqe Pantone color combinations. Using graphic shapes, texture and sophisticated cool tones with a hint of grey and metallic pigments, it creates a visual translation of the magic hue around the mythical dragon.
Five Metal Shop — The Calendar Project
The Calendar Project by Five Metal Shop is an experiment to see how an almost obsolete object with a quiet cultural significance can be brought back to life in a modern context. Using bright illustrations, modern typeface, colour combinations and printing, the traditional almanac is made relevant in modern days. Although the execution of this project uses modern day techniques, the binding is 100% manually done — 385 pages of them each.
