About T-Lab

The minimalist, soft and rounded design of T-Lab's wooden statues hides a deeper reflection than one might think. T-Lab's motto is to "warm people's hearts" with craftsmanship passed "from their hand to your hand".

Each of their wooden animals is shaped, sanded and painted by hand, and therefore unique — yet also almost identical. In addition to the artistic and technical aspect necessary for any artisanal product, T-Lab gives a whole philosophical and social meaning to its creations: their slogan (in Japanese) is not easy to translate literally, but it essentially means "Slowness, in a form", or "To shape slowness". It gives the name "pole pole" a whole new meaning, doesn't it?

Additionally, the philosophy behind it would probably not be complete if it did not have a concrete impact on the world. This is why all T-Lab products are free of chemicals, from the treatment of the raw material (the wood) to the paint they use. Finally, T-Lab is committed to preserving the forests of Albizia Falcata, by replanting the trees they use for creations. By doing so, they can guarantee the quality of the wood they use, and because the variety of tree they use grows faster than most, it helps decarbonize the air.

Nice to see you here, but we'd love to meetin person too

Misc Store supports
climate change solutions
& plants a tree for every order

Importing from countries as far as Japan & shipping worldwide has more of an impact than we would like.
That is why we plant a tree for every order + we plant an additional 2 trees each day.

Furthermore, we offset the individual carbon footprint of our staff, including travel per individual under 8,000 km by car or 2 short-haul return flights annually, by funding climate change solutions through Ecologi.

Investing in projects focused on carbon avoidance is not the same as simply buying carbon offset certificates, that is why we have chosen to work with Ecologi.
