The Spiral Ring Notebook range by TRAVELER’S Company has an updated look and feel with a few new members to its family.

The Blank MD Paper Spiral Ring Notebook is a proven favourite: with 100 sheets of high quality blank MD paper and a sturdy metal binding ring, it is the perfect companion to throw in any bag and take out when you need to jot down a few quick notes.

As a tribute to the original range, TRAVELER’S Company has embossed this notebook with a little polar bear, which refers to the silky white quality of the paper. It is also available in A5 or B6 variant.

Spiral Ring Notebook by TRAVELER’S Company
Developed by Midori, the Spiral Ring Notebook series originally started out with the Bear, Camel and Kangaroo variations, with each animal capturing the essence of the notebook’s functionality. After a recent surge of rebranding by the TRAVELER’S Company, their design team completely overhauled the packaging and added two new family members: the Pelican and Swan.

Spiral Ring Notebook Caravan by TRAVELER’S Company
In Japan, the TRAVELER’S notebook Design Team has hosted several one-off events, during which you’re granted to design your very own notebook by choosing your paper from a buffet of paper varieties. Although this might seem to be somewhat of a triviality, a whopping 25+ paper types were made available during these events, allowing for endless combinations and functionalities.

Misc-store was fortunate and honoured to host one of these Spiral Ring Caravan events back in 2015, when we also exhibited a TRAVELER’S Factory Pop-Up in our store in Amsterdam.

What we personally loved most about the Caravan was the unbridled enthusiasm that people showed over being allowed to fully curate their own notebook. The myriad of paper possibilities gave people the opportunity to craft a notebook to truly suit their specific needs and preferences: we had an art director make one for their inspiration-filled travels, another who went with the softest “marshmellowy” paper that was normally very difficult to find, and so on.

This unconstrained approach to notetaking and notebooks is also reflected in Midori MD’s 10th anniversary editions, for which the Midori team made ten A5-sized notebooks – each with a different layout and purpose – to fully accommodate your personal style of notetaking in a non-directive way.

About TRAVELER'S Company

TRAVELER'S Company

The TRAVELER'S Company collection is as deep as it is thought-out. While many designers are content to offer just a few simple solutions, TRAVELER’S Company provides a whole suite. A TRAVELER’S Notebook lets you discover what is useful to your own life. Every detail, from the paper production to the dyeing of the leather, has been considered to ensure the elegance and durability of your notebook.

A feel for the material
TRAVELER’S Company works with just a handful of different materials: leather, brass, and paper. If given the proper care, both brass and leather will age and become more beautiful through use. The paper is elegant and sturdy, and resists feathering and distortion from ink.

We were the first store outside of Japan to stock TRAVELER’S Notebook, and we’re proud to be the home of TRAVELER’S Company in the Netherlands. Come and visit our store to see the full collection of TRAVELER’S Notebook in Amsterdam, or buy TRAVELER’S Notebook online.

What's the difference between Midori and TRAVELER'S Company?
In 2015, TRAVELER’S Company was devolved from their parent company, Midori, so that TRAVELER’S Notebook fans around the world can find the notebooks that they were looking for more easily. Midori notebooks, the everyday notebooks made with high-quality Japanese paper, are available here.

Nice to see you here, but we'd love to meetin person too

Misc Store supports
climate change solutions &
plants a tree for every order

Importing from countries as far as Japan & shipping worldwide has more of an impact than we would like. That is why we plant a tree for every order + we plant an additional 2 trees each day.

Furthermore, we offset the individual carbon footprint of our staff, including travel per individual under 8,000 km by car or 2 short-haul return flights annually, by funding climate change solutions through Ecologi.
A selection of these climate projects are shown here.
