A symbol of love and union
Historically, this striking red flower symbolized a noble death among Japanese warriors and samurai. Yet it also represents romance, and can be given as a gift to express love, faithfulness or devotion.
This flower has been part of Japanese culture for thousands of years. Camellias are very long-lived and have long bloom seasons - actively blooming during fall and winter, times that are off-season for many other plants.
The vivid Red Camellia shines brightly in the dreary winter landscape. If you break off a branch from the garden and arrange it, it will seem as if a red light is shining in a dimly lit room.

Misc Store supports
climate change solutions &
plants a tree for every order
Importing from countries as far as Japan & shipping worldwide has more of an impact than we would like. That is why we plant a tree for every order + we plant an additional 2 trees each day.
Furthermore, we offset the individual carbon footprint of our staff, including travel per individual under 8,000 km by car or 2 short-haul return flights annually, by funding climate change solutions through Ecologi.
A selection of these climate projects are shown here.
