The surface of the WD-1 Writing Desk is made of solid oak. Its frame, with the clean black lines of black powder-coated steel, forms a beautiful contrast to the natural material of the tabletop. The sturdy desk gives off a light impression, as if its surface were floating. Yet the rounded details give the desk a friendly and approachable character.

Chris Liljenberg Halstrøm for Frama
WD-1 Writing Desk is designed by Chris Liljenberg Halstrøm. Before setting up her studio in Berlin Germany she studied in both Stockholm and the city where Frama is based: Copenhagen. Chris Liljenberg Halstrøm is interested in working with familiarity and neutrality. With these topics, she creates new expressions and purposes for her objects. Her minimal design style is a natural match with the Frama collection who represents a graphical and straight forward design aesthetic. Frama focuses on natural materials, simple geometry and an appreciation of permanency.

Cleaning and Maintenance
A little care goes a long way. The surface of this desk is made of solid oak which has been oiled twice. To keep it clean just use a damp cloth, preferably only use water because chemicals in cleaning products can damage the wood. 

To keep the wood in top shape we recommend oiling the table twice a year. Never pour the oil directly onto the wood but apply it to a soft cloth and rub it into the wood. Go with the grain of the wood treating the entire piece, both top and underside of the wood and let it soak for two hours. Then rub off the excess oil until a uniform surface is obtained before letting it dry.
