About Els & Nel

Els & Nel is formed by Aleks Pietrzykowska and Kim De Haas. Together they bring their practical nature together with design and the so-called ‘mobile office life’. A working pattern observed in the contemporary urban environment; where people use the public space as their office. Digitalisation has increased but the need for something tangible, such as pen and paper, never disappeared. However, the traditional grid of ‘the journal’ was never adapted to this working patterns.

This resulted in their journal series: Hard cover notebooks formatted to show all weekdays in horizontal blocks on the left and a page for notes on the right. And for your long term plans, Els & Nel included a removable montly booklet.

Els & Nel stands for problem-solving design and a vision that is characterized by simplicity and usability. – keepin’ it neat –
